Another US State Department official, Stacy Gilbert, has resigned in protest over the Gaza issue. On Thursday, Gilbert announced his resignation, citing disagreement with President Joe Biden's policy on Israel. Initially, Gilbert referred to a Congressional administrative report claiming that Israel had not halted humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, he later acknowledged that this report was incorrect and subsequently submitted his resignation letter. Reuters reported this development.

He was an expert involved in preparing the Biden administration's report to Congress.

In an interview, Gilbert acknowledged a significant error in the US report, stating that its contents were entirely incorrect.

Meanwhile, numerous human rights organizations, including the United Nations, have documented Israel's obstruction of sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza. For nearly eight months, Israel has faced accusations of consistently blocking humanitarian aid across Gaza.

Notably, the death toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza has surpassed 36,000, with over 80,000 people injured. Amid this crisis, human rights groups and other critics accuse the United States of supplying weapons to Israel and supporting its aggressive actions.
