Does Pakistan miss Shahid Afridi in cricket?

Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Everyone has to say goodbye eventually, and Afridi has also moved on. But has Pakistan cricket found another player like him? Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu would say no. Sidhu, expressing his regret, questioned why Pakistan isn't producing cricketers like Afridi after meeting him in New York.

Afridi, who debuted in international cricket in 1996, played his final match in 2018. Meanwhile, Sidhu represented India in 136 ODIs and 51 Tests starting from 1999. They shared an international career spanning three to four years. However, their connection extends beyond the cricket field, reflecting sincerity in their interactions outside the game. This was evident once again during the T20 World Cup in the United States.

Sidhu participated in the T20 World Cup as part of Star Sports' commentary panel, while Afridi served as one of the goodwill ambassadors for the tournament. The two unexpectedly crossed paths before the India-Pakistan match in New York on Sunday. In a video circulating on social media, Afridi and Sidhu embraced each other warmly. Sidhu affectionately patted Afridi's back, commenting, "Handsome Afridi."
