Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif recently visited China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall in Beijing. During the meeting, both leaders affirmed their commitment to taking steps to deepen their relationship.
The leaders particularly focused on enhancing cooperation in politics, economy, and security. They also emphasized their long-standing All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. On this occasion, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held an extended meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended by cabinet members from both countries.
This was Shahbaz's first meeting with Xi Jinping since becoming Pakistan's Prime Minister in 2024. Prime Minister Shahbaz thanked Xi Jinping for the warm and gracious welcome extended to him and his delegation in China.
