Nikki Haley, who served in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, contended with Trump for the Republican Party's presidential nomination in this year's election. Despite a heated political battle, she eventually withdrew from the race. Notably, Haley has stated that she will vote for Trump in the upcoming presidential election.

During Trump's presidency, Haley was the US Ambassador to the United Nations and aspired to be the Republican presidential candidate. This ambition led her to compete against her former boss, Trump, and she remained a prominent contender in the primary race until she stepped down last March.

On Wednesday, Nikki Haley spoke publicly for the first time since withdrawing from the presidential race. She stated, "Trump is not a perfect candidate, but Joe Biden as president is disastrous."

Many Republicans who did not support Trump backed Haley's candidacy. However, she struggled in the early Republican primaries this year.

In her speech to conservatives at the Hudson Institute, a Washington-based think tank, Haley criticized both Trump and Biden. She said, "Biden has led a defeat in Afghanistan, done nothing to stop the war in Ukraine, and recently put Israel in a precarious position."

Haley expressed her desires as a voter: "I want a president who will stand with our allies, secure our borders, support capitalism and freedom. I want a president who understands that we need less debt, not more."

When discussing her vote, Nikki Haley said, "Trump is not perfect in these policies, but Joe Biden is disastrous. So, I will vote for Trump."

Despite this, the former South Carolina Governor did not explicitly urge her supporters to vote for Trump, even though she confirmed she would support the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election despite their disagreements.
